Tubular Heaters
Tubular Heaters are
highly adaptable to most applications where electrical heating is required. They can be used in their
straight form or bent into various shapes. Tubular heaters can be used in free air, clamped to a
surface, placed inside a groove or cast into metal. These versatile heating elements are available in
steel, copper, stainless steel or Incoloy outside sheath and can be utilized in application
temperatures of up to 1400°F.

Screw Plug Immersion Heaters
Screw Plug Immersion
Heaters are medium capacity heating units designed to provide heat inside tanks and pipes. They consist
of a single or a set of tubular elements that are formed into hairpins and welded or braized to a screw
plug. The sheath material of the heating elements could be steel, copper, stainless steel or Incoloy.
The standard screw plug sizes utilized are 1”, 1 1/4”, 2” and 2 1/2” and are either made of steel,
brass or stainless steel. Other sizes are available upon request. Various types of electrical
protective enclosures, built in thermostats, thermocouples and high limit switches can also be
incorporated.

Flanged Immersion Heaters
Flanged Immersion Heaters
are high capacity electrical heating units made for tanks or pressurized vessels. They consist of
multiple tubular heaters formed into hairpin and welded or brazed to flanges. The heating elements
could be made of copper, steel, stainless steel or Incoloy sheath. Standard flanges are carbon steel
rated for 150 or 300 Lbs. Other flange materials and shapes are available. Various types of electrical
protection housing, built in thermostats, thermocouples and high limit switches can be incorporated.

Duct Heaters
Duct Heaters are heavy
duty, dependable and safe heating units designed for low pressure air flow applications. They utilize
Incoloy sheathed tubular elements that are formed into hairpins, properly supported and attached to a
rectangular flange. A NEMA 1 enclosure with rust proof paint protects the electrical terminals and
wiring. NEMA 4 enclosures are also available. A thick insulating wall protects the electrical wiring
from possible overheating. Thermostats, thermocouples and high limit switches can be incorporated.

Circulation Heaters
Circulation Heaters are
highly efficient heating cells made for high and low pressure gases and liquids. They can be
incorporated into systems as main heating units or as supporting booster units. Their heating core is a
screw plug or a flanged immersion heater installed inside a pressure vessel that is thermally
insulated. A stainless steel or rust proof painted outside metallic jacket protects the insulating
material. Circulation heaters can have various mechanical features. Their inlet and outlet connections
could be flanges or NPT threaded pipe extensions. Various electrical termination boxes with different
protection characteristics, thermostats, thermocouples and high limit switches are available.

Over-the-Side Immersion Heaters
Over-the-Side Immersion
Heaters are for applications where installing a heater through the side wall of a vessel is not
convenient. For these applications, units that hang from the side wall of a tank, or self supporting
units that sit on the bottom of a tank with round or straight formed heating elements are available.
The heater sheath could be made of copper, steel, stainless steel or Incoloy. The riser is made of
steel or stainless steel. Various electrical protection boxes as well as control thermostats,
thermocouples and high limit switches can also be incorporated.

Thermalators
Thermalators are special
heaters that maintain precise temperatures inside plastic moulds by controlling the temperature and
flow of circulating water systems. With a solid construction, state of the art electronic controls and
safety features, seven different models of Bucan thermalators cover a range of 9-18 KW heating
capacity, 30-70 PSI water pressure and 21-40 GPM flow capacity.
